(5 year) warranty period on labor. He scheduled the service for the next day, was
punctual, and left my white carpet spotless. Beyond these attributes, three things stood
out about his work. First, we had been told by another plumber that our 14-year old unit
definitely needed to be replaced because it had several leeks. After examining the unit,
Baron discovered only one leak which was confined to a valve that could have been
repaired. Unlike less scrupulous service people, he gave us the option of repairing the
leak for a nominal charge (“you might be able to get a few more years out of it”) or of
installing a new heater. Due to the age of the unit, we decided to invest in a new heater
but were very impressed with his honesty. Secondly, the heater was in a challenging,
tight location – up two flights of stairs and in an attic with angled walls and heating
vents. Baron handled what might have been obstacles to a less flexible and less
experienced plumber with aplomb. Above all, he honored his telephone quote to the

Comments: They replaced my 20 year old 30 gallon water heater with a 40 gallon very
efficient Rheem unit as quoted. They showed up on time and were very thorough and
answered all questions. They removed the old heater and installed the new one in less
than two hours and I had hot water as promised a half hour after they left. They also
were hundreds of dollars less than prices I was quoted by those full page yellow pages
ads. These guys are great! I highly recommend them and wish all home repair
companies were as honest as them.

Comments: My existing water heater was 16 years old and starting to lose its
effectiveness. It was time to look for another water heater so I began to search for
someone who could offer me a reasonably priced, high quality water heater installed,
and would haul away my old water heater without an additional charge. I saw some
very positive reviews from Baron's previous clients and thought I'd give him a call.
Baron was very helpful and informative and I felt at ease at hiring him to tackle on my
water heater replacement project. Baron's straight forward pricing helped me to feel
confident that I was getting a good deal and not being set up for a lot of extra hidden
charges once the job was complete. I am very happy with my new water heater that
Baron installed and can definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking to replace
their water heater. Baron and Pete (his trusted side-kick) came in and got the job done
in 90 minutes. Clean, quick, efficient and fairly priced. Great guys but I hope I won't
need them for another 15 years.

Comments: I needed a new and installed water heater, in which my insurance home

Comments: Excalibur is a owner operated business. Over the phone I gave him what type
of water heater we had and informed him that it was fully up to code and there was no
emergency since it was dripping slowly. I wanted it replaced before we went on another.
Baron arrived with the new water heater and drip pan. Everything else was OK so he
replaced the heater. Price was better than 3 other installers and completed to my
schedule. I will recommend this company to my friends that my need a water heater

knowledgeable installer who asked pertinent questions and did not try to "sell" me on
unnecessary modifications to boost his profit. Additionally his quote was about 2/3rds that
of the quotes I already had and he offered a longer warranty on the tank and an unheard
of 5 year warranty on labor. Baron even arrived about 15 minutes early for the scheduled
installation and did a thoroughly profession installation including replacement of the flex
gas and water lines. I am extremely pleased with the water heater installed by Baron and
would recommend him to anyone in need of a water heater at a fair price with

Comments: Just had my 10 year old water heater replaced through Excalibur. Found him
through this site and have to agree with all the other reviewers. Baron provided prompt
service at an unbeatable price. He made the process extremely easy, one phone call to

advantage over larger companies. I received a prompt and informative e-mail response to
my bid for services (replacement of hot water heater). In phone conversations we discussed
my specific situation, my myriad questions were answered patiently and competently, and I
was presented with several options and inclusive pricing. Installation was prompt and
satisfactory. I particularly appreciated to receive a phone call on the day of the
installation, when the agreed upon time of installation had to be moved back by an hour
due to unforeseen circumstances.

was about 7:30AM on the 22nd and my shower was cold as ice! I immediately went to

going with another local company! Luckily, I came to my senses and started doing some
research before going ahead with them. I called Home Depot, Lowes and Excalibur.

Comments: I am very happy with Excalibur Water Heaters' work and rapid response on my
urgent need on 5/20/2008. I got a call back from Baron Sherrill in the early morning that
day and gave me an estimate, then I called him back in an hour later, and every thing was
taking care of. It was 10 times easier, time saving to deal with Excalibur directly instead of
purchasing from HomeDepot and the certified contractor to do the work. Excalibur Water
Heaters' work is excellent, responsive, and price is right. I highly recommended.
